The tales of most of the Indian households is pretty much the same. The same kind of expectations, the same kind of behavioral issues, the same kind of challenges,what is different however,is the intensity of these circumstances. I sometime feel that the entirety of this family system is flawed, right at the grass root level as it leaves no or very less room for a few people in the family to voice their opinions, to put forward their interests, to grow and evolve upto their full potential and hardly ever get a chance to nurture their battered souls with peace, self care and love before they are forced to face another volley of tiresome, soul punching, never ending experiences. Why should it be expected out of a few people to always keep their interests at bay while others exercise their authority hiding behind the sanctum of the family structure, it’s hierarchical benefits, and inability of people to mature and develop a sense of discretion with age.
